Linda Lowe

Died April 21, 2005

Linda Lowe, 47, of Cumming died Thursday following an extended illness.

She was an owner and operator of L&M Restaurant for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Dolphus Chumbler; and brother, Ronald Chumbler.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Lowe, Cumming; children, Steve Lowe, Robert Lowe, Matthew Lowe and Abigail Lowe, all of Cumming; mother, Millie Chumbler, Cumming; brothers, Jeff Chumbler and Curtis Chumbler, both of Cumming; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tony Allen, the Rev. Larmon Barron and the Rev. Doug Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

James Donald "J.D." Roper

Died April 22, 2005

James Donald "J.D." Roper, 54, of Gainesville died Friday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born in Hall County, he worked many years for Hall Equipment as a welder. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmajean Roper; and brother, Phillip Roper.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Dyer Roper, Gainesville; daughters, Michelle Hollaway, Dahlonega, Tiffine Brown, Augusta, Toshia Keaton, Trenton, S.C., and Misty Garland, Clermont; son, Brad Dyer, Gainesville; father, Donald Roper, Oakwood; brothers, Troy Roper, Oakwood, and Loy Roper, Gainesville; sister, Brenda Cronic, Oakwood; and ten grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Billy Poole and the Rev. Jeff Worley will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Anita Sue Sullens Smith

Died April 21, 2005

Anita Sue Sullens Smith, 40, of Gainesville died Thursday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Lee (Monk) Smith; daughters, Elisha and Brittany Smith, both of Gainesville; father, Dean (Dock) Sullens, Gainesville; sister, Sandra Smith, Gainesville; and brothers, Tommy Sullens and Terrell Sullens.

The family will receive friends after noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chris Anderson, the Rev. Ronnie Fuller and the Rev. Danny Kesler will officiate. Burial will be in Straightway Baptist Church Cemetery.
