Mr. Charles Parks Clegg, age 57, of Young Harris passed away on Monday, May 2, 2005, following a period of declining health. He was born to Mrs. Faye Harmon Clegg Hoag and the late Mr. Charles R. Clegg on Oct. 7, 1947, in Clarkesville. He was a retired Social Security administrator, a graduate of Towns County High School, Young Harris College and Georgia Southern University. He was also an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Faye Harmon Clegg Hoag of Young Harris; brothers and sisters-in-law, George "Bud" and Dale Clegg of Dahlonega and Randy and Becky Hoag of Brussels, Belgium; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Carl Minus of Cape Cod, Mass.; and seven nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2005, at 2 p.m. from Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Kay, the Rev. Fred Whitley and the Rev. Patty Ryle Clay officiating.
