Annie Mae Anthony, 79, of Gainesville died Tuesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center's Lanier Park campus following a brief illness.

Geraldine Barefoot

Died April 26, 2006

Geraldine Barefoot, 88, of Dahlonega died Wednesday at Valley Brook Assisted Living following an extended illness.

A native of Green Bay, Wis., she had lived in Lumpkin County for the past two and a half years. The daughter of the late Albert James Turek and Marie Schlader Turek, she was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Bert Turek.

Survivors include her sons, Chip Barefoot, Dahlonega, and Forrest Barefoot, St. Simons Island; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Banister Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, Tenn.

David Anthony Brookshire

Aug. 3, 1955-April 26, 2006

David Anthony Brookshire, 50, of Pendergrass died Wednesday at Banks-Jackson-Commerce Medical Center.

A native of Clarke County, he was the son of the late E.L. Smokey Brookshire. He was a carpenter and a member of Holiness Faith Church.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lance Brookshire, Pendergrass; daughters, Wendy Dillow, Jefferson, and Ansley Brookshire, Pendergrass; mother, Sara Smallwood Brookshire, Pendergrass; brothers, Duane Brookshire, Gainesville, Norman Brookshire, Commerce, and Wade Brookshire, Pendergrass; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Pond Fork Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Kesler, the Rev. Mark Mobley and the Rev. Johnny Knight will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ophie Mae Disharoon Dodd

Died April 26, 2006

Ophie Mae Disharoon Dodd, 91, of Buford died Wednesday.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jarius J. Dodd, and daughter, Elise Mae Day.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Crane, Flowery Branch, Paulene Lane, Dawsonville, and Jane Palmer, Buford; sons, Delmer Dodd, Ellijay, Jerry Dodd and Wayman Dodd, both of Buford, and Kenneth Dodd, Cleveland; sisters, Mary Reed and Louise Vaughters, both of Dawsonville; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dorothy "Dot" Garrison

Dorothy "Dot" Garrison, 98, of Gillsville died Monday at a private care facility following an extended illness.

A native of Gillsville, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Boyce Suddeth Garrison. She worked for the Gillsville post office and was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her brother, Ret. Col. Robert F. Garrison, Bradenton, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Gillsville Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Calhoun will officiate. Burial will be in Garrison Family Cemetery.

Cynthia Anne Hollingsworth of Gainesville died Friday at her residence.

A native of Cobb County, she was employed by the Forsyth County Public Library.

The body was cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.

Ruby Pearl Mobley, 70, of Dawsonville died Monday at Chestatee Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

A native of Dawson County, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thurmond Bagwell and Eurskin Mobley; son, Jerry Bagwell; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her children, Patricia Allen, Ellijay, Wanda Libao, Danny Bagwell and Johnny Bagwell, all of Dawsonville, Rickey Bagwell, Calhoun, Joannie Smith, Dahlonega, Loretta Mobley, Gainesville, and Sammy Mobley, Cumming; sisters, Carol Chadwick, Cumming, and Lorinae Bowers, Jasper; brothers, Lee Neighbors, Cumming, and Harold Neighbors, Canton; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends all day Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, at Bearden Funeral Home. The Rev. Larmon Barron and the Rev. Mark Biddy will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

James Raymond Sailors, 67, of Flowery Branch died Wednesday.

He worked with the American General Insurance Co. and for Last Lap Racing Motor Sports. He also was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn P. Sailors; daughter, Stephanie M. Wood, Flowery Branch; sons, David M. Sailors, Douglasville, and Robert G. Sailors, Panama City, Fla.; mother, Catherine Sailors, Stockbridge; sisters, Brenda J. Stodghill, Stockbridge, and Theresa G. Drake, Gainesville; brothers, Larry K. Sailors and Gary L. Sailors, both of McDonough, and Freddie D. Sailors, Grayson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
