Richard "Rick" Michael Jones, 59, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at his residence after battling cancer for five years.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Clark Pickett will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, July 15, at the funeral home. After the memorial service, the family will receive friends at their home.
Mr. Jones was born March 17, 1947, to the late Richard and Betty Jones. He was a graduate of Sandy Springs High School and attended Dekalb College. Rick owned and operated Brooks Machinery Inc. of Norcross for many years.
Mr. Jones is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sharon Jones, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Taylor and Mandy Jones, Gainesville; daughters, Melody Dryden, Gainesville, Pam Powell, Atlanta; and a son, Nick Jones, Atlanta; sister, Bonny Jones Marshall, Sandy Springs; grandchildren, Emma Kate Jones and Michael Miller Jones, Gainesville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
