Roy W. Gazaway, 81, of Dawsonville died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Dawson County, he lived in Henry County before returning here a year ago. Mr. Gazaway was a retired master mechanic and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Dora Gazaway, a brother and four sisters.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Wayne Bridges, Dawsonville, and Brenda and Tony King, Ellenwood; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Harold Evans will officiate. Interment in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3:30 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
